  • Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries — Girls on the Run of Lehigh County is an evidence-based, self-esteem and healthy lifestyles program to increase the self-esteem and physical activity levels of underserved for girls ages 8 to 12.
  • Gwen's Girls — Empowers girls, ages 8-18, to have productive futures through programs, education and experiences.
  • Heartwood Institute — Promotes understanding and practice of universal ethical concepts and good character through materials that explore the ethical content of stories, helping children develop a basic moral framework, live by it, and appreciate its value.
  • Magee-Womens Hospital of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center — Girls on the Run is an evidence-based self-esteem and healthy lifestyles program in Beaver, Washington and Westmoreland counties. The goal is to increase the self-esteem and physical activity levels of underserved girls in grades 3 to 5.
  •  Smart Futures — A PA eMentoring program which promotes positive self-esteem through career planning. The program in collaboration with 75 southwestern Pennsylvania schools and the Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA serves about 1,500 students.
  • Strong Women, Strong Girls — Strong Women, Strong Girls is a self-esteem mentoring program for girls age 12 to 14 in Pittsburgh and other areas of the country.
  • The Second Mile — The Second Mile, based in State College, Pennsylvania, is a statewide nonprofit organization for children who need additional support and who would benefit from positive human contact. The Second Mile plans, organizes, and offers activities and programs for children — and adults who work with them — to promote self-confidence as well as physical, academic and personal success.
  • YMCA of York — Girls on the Run®, in York County is an evidenced-based, self-esteem and healthy lifestyles program to increase the self-esteem and physical activity levels of underserved girls in grades 3 to 5.

National

  • National Association for Self-Esteem — Fully integrates self-esteem into the fabric of American society so that every individual, no matter what their age or background, experiences personal worth and happiness through books, education and forums.
  • American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) — Concerned with all aspects of children's health and well-being, and seeks to advance children's issues as part of the country's agenda. Provides research and education.
  • La Belle Foundation — Facilitates and implements the raising of individual self-esteem through education.
  • I Am Beautiful Project — Produces creative and educational works that encourage personal discovery and growth for girls and women of all ages.
  • Uniquely ME! — The Girl Scout/Dove self-esteem program is designed to foster self-esteem in girls, ages 8-17.
  • Mentor — Provides support in the development of mentoring programs nationally and to state organizations.
