Highmark Healthy High 5 School Challenge Increases Grants to Schools
Highmark Healthy High 5 School Challenge awarded $605,000 in grants to 75 schools, grades K-12, across Pennsylvania in March 2008. The grants will support programs that address bullying prevention and self-esteem, improve nutrition education, enhance nutrition choices and provide opportunities for physical activity. Due to the overwhelming response from schools, the Highmark Foundation increased the grants it will award from $1 million to $2.5 million.
