The Highmark Foundation, through its Highmark Healthy High 5 initiative, aims to address the growing health concerns facing young people today. The following sponsored events are ways that the Highmark Foundation helps children and teens to live happier, healthier lives.

Highmark Healthy High 5 Finish Line Festivals
Date: June 24-29, 2008
Location: Five locations across Pennsylvania
The Event: At the end of each stage of the American Eagle Outfitters Tour of Pennsylvania presented by Highmark Healthy High 5, Highmark Healthy High 5 hosted Finish Line Festivals. These free and fun community events focused on active living and healthy eating. Families enjoyed engaging activities and games, and children won prizes, including bikes, American Eagle Outfitters gift cards and other great giveaways. Bullying Prevention Institute
Date: Oct. 4-5, 2007
Location: Hershey Lodge, Hershey, PA
The Event: The Bullying Prevention Institute was a summit for education professionals that addressed the growing issue of bullying in schools. This two-day event gave schools the tools and resources needed to create or improve upon a bullying prevention program. The event featured national experts who lead workshops and provided solutions. nrgSummit
Date: Sept. 25, 2007
Location: Willow Valley Resort, Lancaster, PA
The Event: nrgSummit = Teens X (Industry + Technology). This one-day event brought teens, adults, and industry together for a hands-on, action-packed day focused on specific ideas, technologies, and ways to make healthy changes happen. For more information, please visit the nrgSummit Web site.
